VISION:
Our vision is to see next generation leaders and Christian faith communities engage in integrated ministry to spiritual, social, and physical needs in order to lead human society throughout Cambodia and beyond toward holistic peace.
MISSION:
Our mission is to articulate a vision for holistic mission; to identify young leaders and Christian faith communities as agents of holistic mission; and to develop programs which equip them for economic sustainability, effective leadership, and active participation in holistic development throughout Cambodia and beyond.
CORE VALUES:
Holistic Perspective. We believe that human beings are designed as “whole” creatures. They should not ultimately be divided or separated into distinct parts. Thus, spiritual, social, and physical needs are all related, and must be approached in an interrelated fashion. We believe all these types of needs are important. We consistently endeavor to take a “systems approach” to our work.
Learning Partnerships. We realize that there are many fine organizations, many of them faith-based, which are pursuing the holistic transformation of Cambodia. We do not desire to needlessly duplicate these efforts. However, we realize that the need for holistic transformation in Cambodia is far greater than the current efforts can fulfill, and so we intentionally extend these efforts through additional ministry activities. Whenever practical, we will engage in partnerships with already-active organizations in order to facilitate mutual learning and ensure the enactment of ‘best practices’ throughout our work.
Empowering Communities. We are committed to sustainable development. We realize that our development interventions will not be sustainable if there is not local, community-based ownership of those development processes. Thus, we intentionally involve local communities in the processes of needs assessment, strategic planning, implementation of development interventions, and monitoring/evaluation. We believe it is important to take an empowering, participatory approach in our interaction with local communities.
Integrative Ministry. We believe that a key part of holistic transformation entails the integration of diverse communities into a tolerant and peaceful coexistence. Thus, while we intentionally target Christian faith communities as agents of holistic transformation, we have a general policy of non-discrimination with regard to the ultimate beneficiaries of our ministry. We also intentionally endeavor to integrate marginalized groups into the flow of holistic development in Cambodia. Even our focus on faith communities as agents of transformation is for the benefit of Cambodian society as a whole.
